Here's their form to sign up for a sample. http://wisefoodstora...om/try-a-sample

Now I know why CGA said to stay away!

Looks like it is one of THOSE Sales Company that come to you with 'pressure' sales!

on the form it said "someone will contact you with your sample and more information"

OH NO YOU WILL NOT! :beat_deadhorse:

Very high priced. They sell it by 'servings' which are totally inadequate as far as calories go. This is for people who are 'credit card preppers'. They buy "a yrs worth of food for two', put it in the back of the closet and forget about it. Then, if they ever need it, discover that they really don't like it much plus there is nowhere close to a yrs worth of calories for two.

"This is for people who are 'credit card preppers"

Oh , I like that name and yes we know of few of THOSE people.

Every time a storm' MIGHT' be coming they go out shopping and buy all kinds of things, then 2 months later don't know why they bought all those batteries and not a flashlight? Or try to give away all the canned asparagus after opening one can to find out it was horrible?

I've compared prices [including shipping when applicable] for at least 6 different prep-food companies. None of them beats Emergency Essentials for price.

I heard someone liked the Wise food that they tried but it is quite expensive! So is Shelf Reliance, Food Insurance, etc. Can't remember all of them I researched.

And CGA is correct about the nutrient value PER MEAL. A half cup serving of the main meal is NOT adequate! :shakinghead:

Even Emerg Essentials ...you have to calculate their ONE YEAR supply. I find them short. But they have all sorts of other bulk foods in cans [#10 and a smaller size] and buckets. You can order the basics of grains, legumes, veggies, fruit, dairy. Or you can order FD add-water-and-heat meals. They also have MRE's [military and civilian] and other stuff. And decent sales. Shipping is $6 or $9 or $12. Never more. [ :grinning-smiley-044: Nope, not affiliated with them in any way except satisfied customer. ]

By The Way....here is somethings folks may not know.

--Dehydrated [DH] foods will EXPAND!

--Freeze Dried [FD] foods will not expand.

-----so a #10 can of FD bananas will still fit in the #10 can after being rehydrated. A #10 can of DH will more than over spill that volume.

--Folks say that FD tastes better and does not break down cellular walls so texture is better.

--Some things like meat MUST be Freeze Dried!!!!

Personally, I get DH if it's available cuz I'll get more end product [cheaper price] per #10 can. More crammed into storage. And I already know I like dehydrated product cuz I also dehydrate my own. (got some carrots waiting for me to catch a break in the schedule, in fact!)

MtRider [....gun shop, huh? :grinning-smiley-044: ]

I didn't know freeze dried food didn't expand! Thanks.

Now I don't feel so bad about my dehydrated stuff. For some reason I was thinking freeze dried was better. But I can do the dehydrating at home. One more jar of carrots and then it's off to celery-land.
