Peanut Butter Powder

9 posts in this topic

I was surprised to see peanut butter powder in my United Grocery store. It was almost $6 a jar. I didn't purchase any I was just surprised to see it. Will have to pick up a jar and try it. They had regular peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter. Anyone else seeing things like this in their grocery stores?

I haven't seen anything like that, or any other prepping type items, in my grocery store yet. I wish I would though. Even the Sam's Club I go to doesn't sell 'prep type' stuff.

Is it the PB2 stuff? I haven't tried it yet, but I've contemplated it. I know Amazon sells it too.

Yeah that's the brand. I wasn't prepared to spend that much money yesterday. I took limited amount of cash with me so I was on a budget.

Both flavors of PB2 are excellent! So is the honeyville powdered peanutbutter powder.

Wow, I forgot I had a #10 can of that stuff. Time to try it out.

I'll bet it work well for baking cookies and cakes, or peanut butter pie.

Haven't seen that, but my Walmart carries packages of freeze dried fruit. Its really expensive though. They have bananas, apples, pinapple, and strawberries. Not just dried fruit, but truly freeze dried.

That is a new one to me, too. I think I am going to have to do some research on just how it is dessicated, considering the oils in peanuts.

Thanks for the heads up!

of the Librum.

(I wonder if it can be done with other nuts... Pecans... Acorn...)
