  1. Hi! I definitely will shout out if the pantry room swallows me up...it just might. My date with the pantry room is all next week. I cut about a five inch branch off the tops of my tomato plants and just stuck them in water. They rooted by themselves in about a week, maybe a little longer. I just planted in dirt and they have been in my green house. My green house is not efficient. After Katrina I have big holes in the bottom pannels so it doen't retain heat..it will be fixed this year. But the tomato plants have done fine. I pruned, added some dirt here and there, watered. Now they are three feet tall, and have been living in the green house almost six months and our lowest temps have been in the 20's. How they will do when I put them out in the bed....I'll have to let you know.
  2. Hey there! I'm loving your avatar!!!! Where'd ya get it?

  3. I like this topic. I'm going through seeds. I have a 12x12 raised bed and containers. I have managed to root the tops of three tomato plants from last year and keep them alive in my damaged greenhouse which I hope to repair this summer. My pantry room, which is not within sight of the rest of the house, has cascades of stuff coming from all shelving flowing along the floor. That definitely has to be cleaned out. I had images of home canned supplies gleaming at me from those shelves and of course I would be standing in the middle with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
