shuffling feet...

Hello forum.

I've been AWOL for quite a while. Things are just... well they're okay now but it's been pretty bad.

Been thinking a lot about this place, some of you.

Hope you don't tar and feather me now :)

Hugs Christy

Oh, Christy - I am SO GLAD to see you here again!!! :hug3::cele:

I was wandering through here last week and it struck me that we just haven't see you for AGES. I wondered if you were OK. I stopped and prayed that God would help you in whatever you needed. Well, then, that led me to pray for everyone else here, too... But I know that God knows best how to help us.

Welcome home, Sweetie! Catch us up in your life, or just jump in again... you're HOME!!! :hug3:

It is good to see you coming by, Christy. I have been wondering how you are. It has been quite the winter from all I hear there in Europe. It IS trying to warm up here in upstate NY and the midwest US now..... things are melting. I listened to the boom of ice breaking and ramming into the road bridge supports ( it's ok, its a new and very strong bridge... and no concern for flooding here.) It is warm enough to melt some of the snow most days now at least. A few more weeks and maybe it will be bare mud for a couple more weeks before it starts to green up here. I look forward to that and we are past the interminable waiting for the thaw now.

I hope things warm up well for you too, soon so you can get to gardening if you have a garden patch going.

I have been learning to knit better this winter and have a third pair of socks and enough patterns and yarn and needles to do many things now. I am happy to be expecting a first grandchild, a grandson, end of June. I probably won't set actual eyes on him until he goes to Kindergarten , since my DS and DIL are in Hawaii and won't be back to Texas for several years yet. But it is fun talking to my son as he thinks about parenting. They are enjoying Hawaii and doing lots of fun things and have many tropical fruit trees in their yard. I think they will go get into Base Housing though, since they can have airconditioning there and it helps control the onslaught of mold which makes clothing and linen care a real pain to keep up with if you do not have it. My son does say he will be glad to get back to the continental US though, because Hawaiians have no concept of promptness when it comes to schedules and he likes to be on top of things. They remain in good health, and that was good to hear recently.

Oh how wonderful that there's a little one on the way. Congratulations.

With Skype and such we are not completely deprived of our loved ones far away now.

Those new knittingskills will come in handy :)

How great to see you all here. How are you all doing?
