Happy New Year - 2015...!

A friend of mine woke up today to find her husband had died, beside her, in the night. Another friend lost a beloved niece in a strange car crash earlier this week that has become a criminal investigation.

We're not guaranteed tomorrow. Things happen. Life gets tough.

But as we start a new year, I just wanted to tell you that I'm thinking about you. I care about what happens to you. I wish only the best for you and your loved ones. You are in my prayers.

May the new year bring you the best of God's blessings.

Happy New Year to you to Dear Cat. Wishing you a healthy and happy year. :hug3:

I'm sorry about your friends troubles. It's so sad. An 'internet friend' of mine just lost her adult son the morning after Christmas. Things like that are so heartbreaking and can make you stop to think about your own life and to be grateful. Some days just grateful to be alive. Sending you prayers of love and peace friend.

And wishing the same to all of my family here!

Not an auspicious start to 2015 here.

I've said that we RARELY get microbe sick. Years pass without an incident here. Well, that is dependent upon having the herbal/nutritional products to fight stuff off at the first sign. Guess who DID NOT order the stuff I took ...and nearly emptied....to ward off something last week? The same one who got sick at work yesterday; is sick in bed today. [sometimes he's only sick for 24-36 hrs if he can sleep....and eat kim chee]. But....I woke with throat glands swollen, eyes scratchy, and not happy about only a day's worth of our "meds" left in the bottle. ["oh...I'm going to order those...tomorrow" he says] :gaah: Guess who ran out to feed critters JUST before it started snowing ....again. :0327:

Snowplow friend must be taking a vacation cuz steep, dangerous driveway is completely snowpacked. :o [actually, all kids/Grkids are at their house and many have the flu....]

Princess dog is in heat and aieee-yi-yi! Aren't we fussy! Tiny house; 2 people getting/gotten sick; dog in heat and not keeping diapers on so well this time; old cat yowling cuz that's what she does. Yeah....totally different morning than "last year".

Not to mention a pellet stove that is flying sparks so we can't use it. A pellet stove repair BRAT (don't ask!) that won't come to fix it. A suddenly higher use of furnace [and subZERO temps every night] :frozen: is using up the propane at an alarming rate....and the fill isn't scheduled until 2 more weeks. Windows are covered with anything I can to block the heat loss thru single-panes: pizza box covers, bubble wrap, towels, blankets, mylar sheets..... Doesn't block loss thru chinking between logs. Been wearing lots of layers inside...including ski pants over sweats; down vest over wool sweater over.... Anything to keep the propane usage down.

My dad called this morning and he MIGHT have the flu. They're in their mid 80's .....not something I wanted to hear....tho we'd already canceled today's pizza dinner due to DH being sick.

My brother might not get to come for late Christmas afterall..... :(

And I CANNOT seem to be able to keep track of my key ring. :motz_6: I change the layers of clothes I wear outside to match weather....being careful not to overheat or be too cold. SO MANY pockets. Constantly can't find keys when heading outside. This brain malfunction is getting to me! :motz_6:

:sassing: .....and God whispers into my ear: "For 2015....be still and know that I AM God."

MtRider ..... :sigh: ....trying....

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Moose Lodge last night. Most of the members are our age or older and we've not ever seen anyone get "stupid" there. Our tickets were at a table where we didn't know anyone, so got to meet another couple a bit younger (I think?) that us, and he lives in the same city where the Roost is :-) MrWE2 had a birthday coupon (a couple months old) that we used for our supper (buy one get one free) before we went out. Just puttered around today. I am finishing off the back of another crocheted poncho for myself, this time in red. We watched several "McLoud's Daughters" (an oldy but goodie) on free HULU also. Sometimes it's so funny :-) My back is feeling much better and dancing may have even helped it. I didn't get on the inversion table today, but may tomorrow just to "keep up the good work" :-) Made contact with another one of MrWE2's long lost family members in Texas (he was born there and spent many of this years there) and it was like a lovely gift for him :-) He was so excited to get their Christmas card, like a little boy opening the envelope and reading it. They've since emailed and again, I print them out for him and it's just another Christmas gift for him! I love it! Wishing each of MrsS peeplz our prayers for 2015 and we're looking forward to getting the Roost done this spring & hopefully moved by summer...then this place emptied and sold!
