MIA for a bit?

Recommended Posts

Welp... tomorrow, I pick up Hubba from the airport. Monday, we pick up moving trucks. Tuesday, we clean the current house. Wed, we have walk through, driveshaft disconnect & then we head out to our new Humble Abode. We don't have internet hooked up out there yet; don't even know what our options are. I may or may not get on from mobile, but I doubt I will. So, with all that said- I'm'a get caught up today, then may or may not be on (much?) the next couple days... soooo.... tootles for a bit! I'll check in when/if I can from wi-fi locations if we come across them.

If you have a laptop and can find no other Internet service, you can get satellite cards and a subscription for coverage, amazon dot com or radio shack might carry it, I know amazon has it available. Otherwise, local libraries usually have it and you can bring your laptop in and use it there free.

We found we could access wifi with our notebook just setting outside a McD's :-) Didn't even have to go in. Many other places (Starbucks) offer free wifi also. We've noticed a lot of restaurants and coffee shops etc., are now offering free wifi. We have a "hot spot finder" and sometimes (and it's only sometimes) we can stop, I'll push the locator button and see if I get any bars. If I do, I try to access wifi from the notebook. If they're secure connections I can't access them, but sometimes they're not and I can. I try not to abuse this, but have found it's nice to quickly check emails, weather or maps.

Haha, I've done that We2!! We also have mobile hotspot, but we're on a shared plan, so can't use too much on the laptop as it sucks data. Yesterday, we had 3 folks come help us. We had both trucks loaded in 5.5 hours, including lunch break. WHAT A BLESSING!!! Today, we're just getting started. We're cleaning, packing the last little bits up, taking oldest & his girlfriend out to eat later, then home to pack the van & get the rest of the livestock feed & such picked up/packed/put away. We'll leave in the morning. Little by little.
