Annarchy
We are getting another dog. He's coming from a pound in Kentucky. He was scheduled to be put down on Monday. We named him Gunny. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
He looks a lot like Grrr. Quote Link to comment
snapshotmiki
He's beautiful! I believe they know when they are rescued and they are so full of love! Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
DH says the members from his forum are going to drive him here. They already have people scheduled to get him through KY. It is truly interesting and amazing watching people volunteering to drive him to meet up with the next driver. Quote Link to comment

Simply awesome. You must be so excited! Quote Link to comment

Mt_Rider
Awwww! Do you know any of his story? Poor things just don't understand how they got there.....what all this means to them. But once he's HOME ....that should clear up what's what! MtRider Quote Link to comment
Daylily
Precious! I believe that dogs truly suffer emotionally when abandoned by their owners. Thank you for adopting a shelter dog. I hope he fits right into you family. Quote Link to comment
Ambergris
I hope he fits right in. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
So do I, Ambergris. Gunny is being moved to the clinic to be nurtured and vaccinations on Wednesday. We don't know about his past. All I know is he is 3 years old. DH keeps asking Grrr if he want a buddy. Maybe Gunny will help Grrr with his separation issues. Anytime either one of us leaves, Grrr gets anxious. If we both go, he howls. Wooooooooo. When we return, he acts like we've been gone forever. Quote Link to comment
Snowmom
I'm sue things will go well with the two dogs. I so agree that dogs do feel hurt and bad when they are left alone. On the other hand, we have boarded Minnie so much she loves going there. Every Tuesday morning she knows she is going to see her friends. This is bad though at times. She is so excited to get there and she is just as excited when we come to take her home later in the afternoon. They do get use to things and they know when things are not like they should be. Thank you so much for saving this beautiful dogs life. Please put pictures in after you get him home and after he has been there a few days. Here is a picture of Minnie watching the deer out back. I'm not sure if I have shared this before or not. Quote Link to comment

snapshotmiki
When does Gunny arrive? Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
No, Miki. I am concerned, we have not heard a word since they said his surgery went well. DH has e-mailed him several times. IDK, it is in God's hands. Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Well at least you know he's not the source of your itch! MtRider ...weird not to hear back tho!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

snapshotmiki
Can you call the vet that did the surgery? Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
IDK, it's DH's deal, he said he has sent several e-mails with no answer. It is 'wait and see' now, I guess. Quote Link to comment
Annarchy
Poor Gunny had to go back to the vet, he got kennel cough. They are setting up transportation now. We are coordinating to see if I will need to pick him up in TX. I'll need to move my MIL trip time line. The retired Marine will call us later with the details. Now I am getting nervous excited. Grrr just got his 3 year shots and license yesterday, so they will be on the same schedule. Quote Link to comment
snapshotmiki
Yay!!! I'm so glad you heard back from them! Quote Link to comment
