Ann, I think you should count at least one more mile for taking care of your DH. :)

Momo, when you say I could be at your home soon, it made me think of the books I just finished reading for the Winter Reading Program. :) This guy walked from Washington state, to Florida. :) The book starts with 'The Walk', it is by: Richard Paul Evans. I read 4 of them, and there will be another one in the series coming out in May of this year. I can hardly wait for it to come out.

**********

Here are some things that count for miles.

These are as you can count them, 1 mile will = one mile.

Biking, swiming, walking, and such.

*********

These will be counted as 1 hour = one mile

*********

:STAIRS: will be down and up 10 times = one mile

********

These two willl be 30 minutes = one mile

:lois: weights, jumping rope. :clothesline:t118033.gif

********

You will have to be the judge of these. We have been counting 1 hour as a mile, but, sometimes it isn't so. Therefore, I'm letting you be the judge of these. :)

Last week, February 2 - 8, I am going to say with laundry, stairs, shopping, housework, dishes, walking on the treadmill and riding the bike, I got in about 32 1/4 miles.

****

Ok, who will be NEXT2.gif ???

Who is going to join us? :) Anyone who wants to start exercising or walking or whatever, count your miles and add them up this week and post them next week when either Momo or I make the walking post. :)

Awwww, thank you Snowmom, keep up the good work. I'm counting on you to keep me motivated. :happy0203:

Last week I walked the dog once.

The rest of my time has been pulling weeds. No walking there. I sit on my duff and scoot. My back is not fit for bending over and over and over, or working a hoe or rake too well. It's a 'hurtz donut' if I use those tools. LOL. Instead I fill a grocery bag with weeds, dump it, then, go back to where I left off and continue. It is good exercise for the upper body, but doesn't count as walking miles. My yard is lined with rocks and I have been moving one, pulling grass and putting it back, scoot and repeat. 4 hours. I only got 1/3 of it done last week. (Finished it off today and edged the driveway with my handy dandy garden knife, 3 hours.) My neighbors wave and shake their heads. I've been doing my yard work that way for well over 30 years.

Cleaned house Saturday for a couple miles, giving me a total of about 3 1/2 miles.
