Homesteader
It's been about 3 years since I accessed the Prevention food and fitness planner. I loved it but can't find it anymore. With a quick search, I found a similar one on WebMD. What helps ME is to track what I eat and any additional exercise above my routine. Today, I started entering my data and am pleased so far with the program at the site. I haven't found the intense charting like in Prevention (vitamins, minerals). I do like to know how much protein, calcium, potassium, fiber, etc that I'm consuming. Most of this is included in the WebMD program. If I'm short of something at the end of the day, like calcium, I'll drink a glass of milk or have some yogurt. By making healthy choices in eating, I can tailor my exercise program. If I want to lose 1 pound per week, I know how many calories per day I can consume. Each logged-in meal in the program goes against the total for the day. After awhile I find it quick and easy. I don't have to worry about what the scales will say. The program is accurate and the weight will slowly come off. Check off another new year's resolution that I've been procrastinating on for several years. Quote Link to comment
