All-Grain Flour Mill

Went over to the neighbors house because I saw some smoke in his back yard. He was tending a fire. As I was leaving, I noticed an old cast iron pan and asked, "How much?" He said $2.00. I went home got 2 dollars and went back. He gave me 2 gallons of non-GMO organic wheat. Then said he would sell me the flour grinder for $35.

I finally have a flour grinder!

I am curious to try grinding mesquite beans for the antique Mexican sweet bread recipe. :happy0203:

I guess that will wait until I learn to use it. We tried to find the user manual, but neither DH or I could find one.

It is now cleaned up and waiting for me to use it... :scratchhead:

Does he know how to use it? Perhaps he could show you?

The manufacturer is All-Grains Company, the name of the machines is All-Grains Flour Mill. We looked the company up on-line, there isn't much to their web site: http://www.allgrainmills.com

I wish my neighbor did know how to use it. He said it was his sisters machine. She stored a bunch of their stuff at his house, then, they moved to Hawaii. They visited him recently and said get rid of everything to Goodwill or sell the stuff. He had it stored on his porch in a garbage bag, it had not been cleaned after the last time it was used, so humidity was starting to cake the flour that was on the stones.

Mesquite beans are very hard. A friend of mine tried to grind them with a manual grain mill and was not pleased with the results. I hope to harvest my mesquite beans before they become rock hard and fall off the trees. The mesquite we have in our yard have sweet beans with a lot of red streaks on the pods.

Wow. Did you see how much they cost?? And the sister just wanted to get rid of it??

Maybe if you call them they might send you a manual.

I had not noticed until you mentioned it. :o My focus had been on finding the user manual. lol

Maybe she did not want it, because it is very heavy, it might cost too much to ship to Hawaii?
