Tomato Sauce

I'm going to can some chili tomorrow and I have a bunch of tomato sauce (8 oz. cans) that I'm thinking about adding to the mix just to use it up. I'm not sure how it will affect the taste tho. Anyone done this before or should I not add it?

I'm out of the paste but I have a lot of the sauce (case sale). I would rather use it than throw it away.

I posted my recipe for taco sauce here...it uses tomato sauce...and taste alot like TB's mild taco sauce. I've got 2 pints in my frig now. I just didn't mix up enough of a batch to warrant canning.
