YYY
Hi Everybody Ive been seeing Mangoes in the stores lately and plan to get some to can. I looked on YouTube to see how others are canning them. On most of the videos, people were saying that peeled Mangoes are slippery, so they are hard to cut into chunks. Then I ran across a video with a nice tip on cutting them (I havent tried this yet). I thought some of you might be interested. Do any of you have different suggestions? YYY Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Yep, this is how we do it. Caution: tho the peels are tough, you can cut through so it might be a better idea not to have your hand on the other side. I just use the tip of a knife and draw backwards, rocking the round mango piece on the cutting board as I slice. Try not to slice all the way through tho. Gotta line up the long seed tho....for the first two cuts. MtRider ....is canned mango mushy? I've had dehydrated and it's good! Quote Link to comment
