gofish
Yesterday we got 8 mouse traps and this morning we had trapped 8 mice. It got cold but at least this means that the ants I've been battling all summer are leaving.Good news is I had my physical and everything looks good although he told me I need to work on getting my PB and cholesterol down a little and I have lost a little weight so changing my eating habits is working. At work they changed the suppliers for the ear plugs we use and He told me I'm allergic to them. Most likely to the latex as I do have a sensitivity to some latex's.I talked to the health and safety person and she said she would see about getting some latex free earplugs abut she would have to have the OK from corporate before she could order them.Really?? I can't be the only person who is allergic to them. We are working less hours so I'm getting some of the LONG to do list done around the house and the neighbors put a free dinning room table by the road and now I have a table to refinish. It has 2 leaves which is something I have wanted. I'll have to have a friend make some replacement legs for it but we can take the pattern off the unbroken leg. I love refinishing furniture so this is going to be fun. Quote Link to comment
Cat
PB = BP = blood pressure? I hope things continue to improve. Good score on the table! DH is bugging me about getting the traps out again. I found one dead mouse in a trap downstairs that I had left out, so he's afraid they're coming in again. He got on the roof and re-sealed some vents that obviously had been invaded - there were nuts already stored just inside them. Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
My BUCKET of DOOM....with a rolling, peanutbutter smeared soda bottle on a dowel.....has caught about 5 mice so far. And one cricket. I'm pleased. It's a LOT easier than traps to "load and unload". Just dump water....and deceased mouse...over the hillside; rinse; pour in a few inches of water again and you're set. I hate handling mouse traps. MtRider ...winter cometh and I do NOT share my abode with other species.... :frying pan: Quote Link to comment
lovinit
I share my house with the cats. For awhile they were leaving me gifts on the front steps every day. Dh wants the cats to go but I don't want the mice to come (or stay). Quote Link to comment

gofish
Yes that was Blood Pressure. It's at the high end of normal. We haven't trapped any more mice but STINK BUGS are now invading . Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Oh dear......are you within that plague? My brother lives in VA and just about goes insane with those things. ICK! MtRider ...you have my sympathy! Quote Link to comment
Cat
Yeah, I've been finding stink bugs, too. NOT fun. Quote Link to comment
