I Don't Understand It

Recommended Posts

I ordered a household item today from Amazon. In my cart I also put in a food item. It was called an "add on". When I went to check out, it wasn't in the cart but they were storing it for a future purchase. I wanted it now because there was only one left and I THINK they are not making anymore of it. I'm not a Prime member and I'm not paying $100.00 a year to shop because I always wait and put stuff in my "wish list" until I get over $35.00 so I usually get free shipping anyway. I tried it again with the same result. The item is around $9.00.

Do I have to be a Prime Member to get the juice I want or do I have to spend the $25.00 in food to get them to ship it to me even though I'm not Prime? Is it because it's food? What is this "add on" thing they speak of? I thought I was adding on the juice to the other item. The item I bought earlier was over the $35.00 shipping limit so I figured I could add the juice. Nope. I would gladly get more of the juice to get them to ship it to me but they only had one pack. Why won't they ship it to me?

BTW, it's a double pack of 6 bottles each (12 count) so it isn't all that expensive. I'm not paying $9.00 for one bottle of juice.

I don't understand the add on thing either. A few months ago I tried to get some extra dehydrator trays for making fruit leather. I could never pay for them even after I had $35 dollars worth in my cart...and then they were no longer available. Annoying.

Thanks. Same here. I had over $35.00 in the cart and was ready to buy. I just tried again to buy the one juice item. They won't let me buy it even though I'm willing to pay for the shipping. I can't think of anything else I need to add now and by the time I do, the one item in stock will probably be gone. I never ran across anyone who didn't want to take my money. Grrrr.

We're prime members because that's our only source of "television/movies" etc. But I'm thinking you may have to be a member because foods are usually in "prime pantry"? Really not sure. Just my input from the peanut gallery.

I don't know about the other parts of this, but add on items you need to spend 35$ I believe for it to be 'added' in . They are usually small items and supposedly this was to help cut down on their shipping costs and materials but a lot of mine end up in separate boxes entirely. I don't think they have this worked out. Best thing to do is contact them by phone if you can over an order you are trying to make. Maybe that will help sort it out. Or online chat with rep, I think that was put into their purchasing programs recently.

Most of the yarn I want, even if I spent money for several skeins is an add on item listing. Drives me nuts. I already paid the monthly fee for prime membership and maybe all I need is yarn that order???? As an example of frustration, or small camping items useful for prepping....... those too, add on items ! I might end up ordering 32 $ worth of those things but cant get them shipped without another 35 $ worth of items I maybe really don't have the money for in my budget at the time.

Yep, the item I got did say 'prime' beside it. I got two Water Buddy stands for the 5 gallon water bottles. The 2 were about $48.00 then to add on the $9.00 juice came to around $57.00. I'm just frustrated I guess. Mostly because I fear I can't get any more of the juice I want in the 12 ounce bottles. Amazon only had one 2-pack left. No one has any more, not even the company who makes them. I even tried to get the syrup stuff for the Soda Stream machine thing and it isn't available any more.

Every time I find something I like it gets discontinued. I'm still mourning the loss of Halsa shampoo.

WE2, but, but, but Halsa brought out my natural highlights. It really did. I think it was the chamomile in it. :scratchhead:

I can't find any shampoo bars here but they do have them down in Amish country. I should have picked one up the last time I was there to try one. At the moment I have enough shampoo and conditioner to last a couple of years. It took me 3 years to run out of Halsa because I bought up all I could find when I heard they weren't going to make any more.

LOL, Jeepers were you the one who sent me all that chamomile tea? soak some in some boiled water for several hours, strain into pouring container , maybe not much and add to a larger container that will hold your regular shampoo you use now , should add the highlights again , then. Ratio of chamomile water probably 1: 3 or 4? to the regular shampoo...... see if that helps your highlights. Shake a bit to stir it up before each use?

Wasn't me this time Sass! LOL

I went to the same Super Wal-Mart today that I went to the other day and guess what they had??? They had six packages of the stuff! You bet I hoarded them. It will last me all winter especially now that I know I might not get any more I'll ration myself. I'll still get the ones at Amazon IF they are still available when I decide to shop. We are playing this game on my terms now! :008Laughing:

Guarantee you...you'll love the shampoo bars. My silver is a great whitish silver and MrWE2's is the same. Not that dingy looking grey that all of us "naturals" have to fight :-)

Good girl! LOL Oh...it's not hoarding! It's putting what you need back for when YOU need it so you don't have to ask somebody else to help ya! LOL

  • 4 weeks later...

I was at Wal-Mart this week and found a couple more 6 packs of the juice. I removed them from my Amazon cart. That'll learn em!

By the way, the juice was the 12 oz. bottles of V-8 Splash Mango Peach.

I could find plenty of the Mango Peach in the V-8 Splash Fusion but I didn't want the caffeine. I can't have too much caffeine to begin with also sometimes I sip it at night while in bed reading.
