Midnightmom
If the pressure safety valve on the canner blows, do I have to get a new one before I can use the canner again??? Quote Link to comment
Gunplumber
really? Just curious, because all my air compressors have safety valves that are spring loaded and screw into the tank., When the pressure in the tank exceeds the spring rating, the spring activates and releases pressure, but snaps back when it is done. Seems silly to me to have any pressure tank that has a valve that only works once. Quote Link to comment

The little black plug in the front of the lid is the pressure valve that blew. I tried it again, and it did blow again. Confirms I have to get a new one. Quote Link to comment
Violet
Well, Gun, that is how they are. It is a little rubber plug. Not spring loaded. It has to be replaced. Quote Link to comment
