Ann, you are doing 4 miles when you shovel 2 hours. :) You get 30 minutes as one mile there. :) Check below. :)

**********

Here are some things that count for miles.

These are as you can count them, 1 mile will = one mile.

Biking, swiming, walking, and such.

*********

These will be counted as 1 hour = one mile

:STAIRS: will be down and up 10 times = one mile

********

These two willl be 30 minutes = one mile

:lois: weights, jumping rope. :clothesline:t118033.gif

********

You will have to be the judge of these. We have been counting 1 hour as a mile, but, sometimes it isn't so. Therefore, I'm letting you be the judge of these. :)

Last week, January 19 - 25, I am going to say with laundry, stairs, shopping, housework, dishes, walking on the treadmill and riding the bike, I got in about 30 miles. Didn't make as many this last week. I let someone else to the snow shoveling. :)

Ok, who will be NEXT2.gif ???

Who is going to join us? :) Anyone who wants to start exercising or walking or whatever, count your miles and add them up this week and post them next week when either Momo or I make the walking post. :)

Wonderful, :sSig_thankyou: Snowmom. It is hard for me to judge how much work equals what. Sometimes I forget.

I managed to finish turning the soil in the gardens, preparing to plant. (There are worms in the soil now :cheer: ) 2 days, 2 hours each, at 30 minutes equaling 1 mile, cool! That should be 8 miles!?!? Wow.

I walked the dog twice. He is gaining weight and I should walk him more. (His checkup said he went from 75 lbs. to 105 lbs. ) Half way through our mile, he begins to slow down and breathe hard. The only good thing about that is he also obeys all his commands when he tires out. Funny dog. I had to quit taking him into the desert due to the mentally unstable people are now living near the paths I usually take. Not a wise idea. We stay on the sidewalks in populated/safe paths now. He's learning not to bark at cars, cats, dogs and people we pass, and learning not to pull on the leash. His pulling hurts me for days afterward.

Anyway, cleaned house, 4 hours. We had company coming and attention to every detail was necessary. The day company was here, I spent most of my time on my feet, cooking and serving them. I'll guess another mile.

Gardening, 8

Dog walks, 2

Cleaning, 4

Cooking, 1

15 miles!!!! No wonder my back and legs have been unforgiving this week. :imoksmiley:
