Jeepers
Does anyone remember how long to pressure cook soup beans before you can them?I mean instead of soaking them over night. I have no idea why I didn't write that down. I want to run them through the electric pressure cooker before canning. Quote Link to comment
Daylily
My canning books doesn't give that option so I don't know. It gives the option of soaking overnight and cooking 30 minutes OR boiling 2 minutes then letting them soak one hour, then boiling 30 minutes. Either way then you pressure can for 90 minutes. Canned Nerd
I've been doing my dry beans for 4-6 minutes with normal release with good results in my electric PC. Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
Thank you's! Gees, I would have done them for 30 min. and then canned them......to mush. THIS TIME I'LL WRITE IT DOWN. I really love that electric pressure cooker. I'll do mine for 5 minutes and then can them. I'm doing chicken veggie soup right now. Quote Link to comment
