ricardo
This morning my husband wanted to take some medication but wanted to make sure it didn't interfere with his other medication. He was looking up drug interaction web sites but could not find a good one, most wanted membership. I told him that on my forum there was a link to to one. While he was sitting at the computer and I was standing and working the mouse. I came here went to Flu Clinic, and did a search. When I am in a hurry I tend to overlook things. He was rushing me, or maybe he wasn't but the point is I couldn't find it right off. As soon as he got off the computer I found it right away. Long story, short. Could we put really important links somewhere easy to find? Without conversation in them, only the link and what it's for. Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest
http://rxlist.com/ There's one link, and yes, we could ask Cavey to make a list in our *Links and Webrings* page, located at the top...we'd hafta compile a list with valid links to give to him. Quote Link to comment

ricardo
Where do you want us to make this list? A sticky or post it at the front of forums? Quote Link to comment
Bamboo
I use the rxlist that Darlene posted at work all the time, it's a really good site. Quote Link to comment

bidy
This is a really good place. They get a little picky with each other sometimes, but it has lots of good information. http://www.avianflutalk.com/ Some of it you have to be a member. Quote Link to comment
Cat
bidy, something is *seriously* wrong at Avian Flu Talk. I checked it out, but the owner seems to be a real control freak. *He boots people out for little or no reason. *He got rid of the Private Messaging system because people were contacting each other privately instead of everything out in the open, where he could easily access it. *You are required to give him your email addy, but then if you try to leave it in your profile so others can contact you, he mixes it up so it's unreadable. *If you join any other Flu forum and he sees you *there*, he boots you out of *his*... which he did to me tonight. When I saw some of the things people were posting about food and water, I tried to direct them *here* just for canning and solid food info. He deleted it and booted my first identity. So I emailed him and asked him about helping people by sharing our good info, but his reply was that I should direct people *there*. So the people left are talking about storing water in their basements in Ziplock bags and how "they think" you need a pressure canner for meats. And DON'T use the same passwords for every forum you go to... my experiences there sure validated that. What if he used them to try and get into *here*, or my email, or whatever...? Too many people use the same password *everywhere*, giving an easy intro to someone up to no good. I've found a much better one where many of AFT's booted people went. It's called "Plan for Pandemic" and is found here: http://planforpandemic.com/index.php Quote Link to comment
Jackie_D
Cat -- I'm at P4P too! I've only looked in on AFT a couple of times, but I agree, something is REALLY REALLY wrong there. (but I find the Jasper postings on P4P from AFT hilarious!!) Quote Link to comment

sassenach
Cat thats a good idea about forum site passwords. That guy at Flu Talk is a jerk! Well I just won't bother with that site. There is enough info out there elsewhere and on our threads if they are coming up. Thanks for bumping this thread up. Quote Link to comment
