Trudy
I'm sure that anyone who has peeled a lot of fresh cucumbers has had that nasty buildup on thier hands that puckers and tightens the skin. It drives me crazy! I've tried everything to get it off, but no luck. Can anyone help me? Link to comment
Cat
About the only thing I've found is to get some cheap rubber gloves to use when doing stuff like this. Fresh pineapples and jalapeno peppers are also nasty things on the hands. Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
we have those "one use' clear gloves that come in packets of 100 (looks like a flat tissue box) that we can use for that and also when cutting up hot peppers or even onions. I also leave the skin on for salads and stuff but will run a folk down the sides to 'open' the skin up ..... and it looks pretty too. Link to comment
themartianchick
I also strip away some of the skin on the sides of cukes. I like that striped look! This year, I planted some white cucumbers...The skin is supposed to be white. I can't wait to try them! Link to comment
