So, I might have found something to do when/if I grow up

Hi y'all!

Long time no see.

So, we think we figured out what I'm going to be if/when I grow up. I've been reading a ton of nutrition books, but didn't want to become a registered dietitian because I've heard of too many cases where if you don't follow the party line, you can have your certification revoked.

Nutritionist is not a regulated term in the state of Texas. The Nutritional Therapy Association has a 9-month program that focuses on real food. I start next month. Weeeee!

In the meantime...we're also filing for primary custody of stepkids, so hubby is majorly stressed out about that.

How're y'all doing?

Hi CG! Good to see you again. Nice to see a nutritional program that focuses on real food. What kind of work could you do with with that certification?

Full time stepkids? How old are they? Could be life changing....

A friend called me yesterday and asked if I'm still looking for a job. He's almost got his boss convinced to let him hire an office/inventory person. It would be part-time and still let me pick the kids up from school and do my class. Yahoo!

Congrats! I'm going to look in to it! I almost started a dietician program, but because I have a degree I was only guaranteed loans for 40 hours (about 3 semester, I need 8).

We're going to have to hold off for now. The money isn't there, and I don't want to take out loans. I might, however, go get my CDL and drive for a few years to get us out of debt and build some savings. It is a possibility that I would be able to swing doing the class next year, even while driving.
