A sweet young man

Yesterday DH and I made a pit stop at the grocery store on our way home. As I stood in line to check out, a young man about 10 years old said :"Happy Mother's Day" I smiled and thanked him. I put my stuff on the belt and I heard him say it again and I turned around to see him wishing another woman the same. What a sweet kid and what a nice way to make alot of folks feel a little better. Even my cynical DH was touched.

My family doesn't "do" presents very often for me. (Long story)

 

But I was surprised by a local grocery store Sunday when they offered a free carnation to every woman leaving the store. :-) I chose a pink one.
