Prayer Request: Husband Let Go From Work

Recommended Posts

I've come back to MrsS because I need to absorb everything here like a sponge. I'm a SAHM of two and a homeschooler and my darling husband has just lost his job. He's our sole breadwinner and has a lot of medical issues. He's pretty crushed. I'm not sure where our path will be leading, but I know God is in control of it, and despite the uncertainties, I am feeling optimistic and confident. Hoping for your prayers and lots of guidance!

So glad you felt you could come here to let all of us help you "absorb". You've suffered a pretty hard hit, especially during these incertain times. I can remember what that was like when my first husband and myself both lost our jobs and had two kids to support and feed. It was TOUGH, but we made it through. My kids never missed a meal, although those meals were sometimes not the "best" by today's standards. After he died, and our kids were grown and married, I was faced with being along for the first time since I was 19 years old. Scary. But God did indeed have my life on His mind and my name written in the palm of His hand. Seven years ago I met MrWE2 and my life has never been the same. It's been better than it has ever been, and that's not saying we haven't faced some financial stresses. Both being retired it puts us in that "fixed income" level and he finds himself still working odd jobs to make ends meet and to set aside things we know we'll need, be it in an emergency or just because we'll be aging and he won't be able to do carpentry work. Sending my prayers your way

DH lost his job due to a work-related accident in 1997. I can empathize. I must say that God came through all the time. We always had what we needed, just when we needed it and not a minute before. This experience will test your faith. I will be praying for you and your family.
