Our kitchen table, where I read, journal, pray, and visit with family. Just outside the picture window we've seen coyotes, bobcats, roadrunners, snakes, and assorted birds, rabbits, chipmunks and spectacular lizards.

Very beautiful kitchen Glynn! That's the type of cabinets I had before my house fire...*pout*

"One day, we’re going to stand before the gates of Heaven. Some of us want to be able to walk up there in a white robe and we want to sing Abba Father and Amazing Grace and we want to say to the Lord, “I worshiped You.” But I want you to think about this: Heres the way I want to enter the gates of Heaven. I want to come skidding in there on all fours. I want to be slipping and sliding and I want to hit the gates of heaven with a bang. And when I stand up and I stand before Christ, I want there to be blood on my knees and my elbows. I want to be covered with mud. And I want to be standing there with a ragged breast plate of righteousness. And a spear in my hand. And I want to say, “Look at me, Jesus. I’ve been in the battle. I’ve been fighting for you.” Ladies and gentlemen, put your armor on and get into battle. God bless you." ~ General William G. Boykin, U.S. Army (ret.)

All of you are so funny! I've enjoyed your comments, especially Westie and Buttercup. LOL

Just wanted to point out that if you'll look on the right side of my kitchen desk you'll see a photo of none other than Roy Rogers!

I need new glasses, Glynn...now that you've mentioned it, I can tell that's Roy Rogers, but who is with him? I've got "Happy Trails to You" playing in my head now--a nice memory from my childhood.

Glynn, that is so sweet about Roy Rogers. We live in the town that he lived. He and Dale Evans are buried here in our local cemetary. There son had built them the most magnifiscant home. It was horseshoe shaped. I heard that in the bathroom you could change out the scenic pictures to "rainforest" with sounds or other types of things. They were really well like here. We would see them in the grocery store shopping just like everyone else!

Debbie, I know your town! I drove over and saw the Rogers' home, well, the massive wrought iron gates with the large RR on them, anyway. I'm glad you described some of the interior. And do tell. Did you really see Roy and Dale at the grocery store???

Glynn....actually my mom would see Dale grocery shopping and at Bible Study. My dad and mom ate at the same restaurant as they did frequently that they would all visit together. I did see them a couple times in town too!

They were just very kind people!
