Hi all, I have been trying, with MtnMommy's help, to upload some good info files (gov't manuals mostly) on First Aid & water purification etc. Alas, my files are all too large, even when compressed, to fit here. I was able to load most all of the files of interest on another small site dedicated to Preparations.
Here are the links:
Practical Preps Rainwater Harvesting
SODIS Water treatment manual
Practical Preps Medical files

The Ant and the Grasshopper is the best children's story ever; and if you're reading this forum you know why.

There are TMs(military training manuals) available that show in detail how to do "infield" surgical needs. Also you might like to pick up some veternarian books on animal surgery. The techniques are the same for people and setting bones/etc. will work for us. Just don't muzzle folks-they tend to get irritated at it. We have probably a gallon of Betadine solution, sterile water, and a community bug out first aid container. It is an Aluminum container about four feet long by one foot square. We keep a first aid shoulder sling bag in the car and we have sutures/etc. in it. wc
