These would make a great gift for just about everyone. You could use different fabrics to personalize. for example, In our family I would make one with a frog print for the neice who loves frogs. A purple fuzzy one for the niece who loves purple. Camoflauge for the brother-in law
etc.I have made a few of these, (not this particular pattern, but similar) and I can sew one together in about 15 minutes.
On the pattern shown here, I think I would cut it a bit narrower in the center, play around with it until you are happy that the center of the pillow is comfortable.
