Guerrilla Wife is one of my favorite books. Written by Louise Reid Spencer about experiences in the Philippines during WWII. Her husband was an engineer at a gold mine on the island of Masbate when Pearl Harbor was bombed. The book is the story of their nearly two years of hiding out in the hills with co-workers and others. Her accounts of what they used and how they used it, how they lived in the jungle, etc. are quite interesting. It's probably out of print but if anyone can find the book, I'm sure you'll be entertained and enlightened by it.
