Tired, but had to post this before I went to bed.
The Ant and the Grasshopper is the best children's story ever; and if you're reading this forum you know why.

Good find, especially the washing machine.
She looked at the wolf with a sweet smile . The wolf asked what was in her basket. `Food for Grandmother`she said..
She then opened her basket and took out a sawn off shotgun.
A few days later she walked through the woods in her new wolfskin furcoat...

Lesson learned, so not mess with girls who are brave enough to go into the woods on their own.

Great find Leah.

The Village Technology Handbook has been out for decades. I have appreciated the Volunteers in Technical Assistance and the work they have done for years as I have a friend who worked with the organization for quite some time way back when. I have one of the handbooks from very early 1970's but it's not nearly as complex and complete as this online version.

Does anyone know if this latest version can be purchased as a book. I tried to find that within the web site but couldn't see it if it's there. There is so much info on this site that it would be an almost impossible task to print out even the basic info and if we had no electricity a CD would do us no good. I would love a book. The older versions of the handbook on Amazon range in price from over a hundred dollars to less than $30.

Thanks Leah.

Thanks Leah,,, Two of those are the older ones like I have. They are not nearly as complete as the online version. The other one seems to be newer but at that price I'd really like to know the extent as it doesn't seem like it would be very complete. I'll look into it though.
