WOW, Darlene! That's great!
I don't know anything about looms, but it is something I've been wanting to learn.
"Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed." Ps 57:1

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. " Eph 5:15,16

How wonderful, Darlene. Perhaps you could lay out the looms and the extra items and take pictures. Then we can all guess with you. :happy0203: (not to mention that then I'd get to see the looms LOL)

I'll do that Mother...it will be a fun journey to learn what all this stuff is.

"One day, we’re going to stand before the gates of Heaven. Some of us want to be able to walk up there in a white robe and we want to sing Abba Father and Amazing Grace and we want to say to the Lord, “I worshiped You.” But I want you to think about this: Heres the way I want to enter the gates of Heaven. I want to come skidding in there on all fours. I want to be slipping and sliding and I want to hit the gates of heaven with a bang. And when I stand up and I stand before Christ, I want there to be blood on my knees and my elbows. I want to be covered with mud. And I want to be standing there with a ragged breast plate of righteousness. And a spear in my hand. And I want to say, “Look at me, Jesus. I’ve been in the battle. I’ve been fighting for you.” Ladies and gentlemen, put your armor on and get into battle. God bless you." ~ General William G. Boykin, U.S. Army (ret.)

My mother used to cut across the tops of worn-out socks to make loops for the potholder loom. When we were in Girl Scouts & Brownies all the potholders were green and brown! They were, of course, cotton socks, not nylon ones. Dont know if nylon ones would give you much insulation with a hot pot...and there was a little fuzzing until they were washed a few times. But they lasted for years, far longer than the socks did, and were a cheap source of loops.

I got the perfect big box for a temporary loom, for small work. ( up to placemat size). It is the box my bed tray with foldable legs came in that was inside the amazon box so it is not as deep a box and should be easier to handle. I will be setting it up soon! :eclipsee_Victoria:

I will be looking forward to hearing about (and maybe seeing?) your new box loom. Thanks for the links too. I loved the picture of the hanging loom but wondered what the finished piece would be worth as the weft was made with copper wire from old motors. Copper is in great demand now and brings a high price. It sure shows what can be used for material when one puts their mind to it.

Happy weaving, :happy0203:

I just posted that hanging loom pic for the construction ideas it presented. One would choose whatever warp materials that they would choose I think. Didn't even notice it had copper wire, well that would be good maybe to cover a window that had no glass? It probably was meant to be a wall hanging, not a rug.
