I found these on another site I like and thought perhaps they would be of use to someone here.

I also had them work on phonics yesterday for a bit, we did beginning and ending sounds and vowel sounds using Professor Garfield. If your kids like Garfield, totally google Professor Garfield! They have tons of games on the site and reading and phonics instruction are heavily emphasized. The kids loved it!!!

I am going to let them go on kidshealth.org to watch some movies on how different systems of the body work today...really nice site.

We also practiced first aid basics on teddy bears, practiced dialing 911 and talking to the operator (me), reciting our address and doing the Heimlich maneuver. We also talked about what to do in case of a snake bite, spider bite, or bee sting.

I went to the library sale and got a nice book of 333 science experiments for kids for 50 cents. We did some browsing through there yesterday. It has some good simple stuff for the kids to do and covers a nice variety of subjects so I totally got my money's worth!

Disregard if this is already here somewhere.

A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone.

Thank you snapshotmicki! We're always looking for new places to learn. Here's some of our favorites:

www.multiplication.com

www.timezattack.com - multiplication/division game that you can download for FREEEE! You can test their level and start where they need help. They don't move on until they master each level.

Learn that word - vocab and spelling practice. You pay for the words that they learn, not the ones they know. You get 5 free to try it. They said an average kid learns 200 words a year for $50. (I didn't get the package right off and got a coupon after a couple of weeks for like $20 off). There are smaller plans and a montly subscription and a yearly fee for those kids that love words that gives them unlimited learning.

tenmarks.com - math website free for teachers, where you can pick what grade level you want the kids to learn on.(you can pay for a subscription also) In our state for them to stay out of our business we register as a private homeschool and have to have a school name. I used that name to sign up.

www.alwaysicecream.com - This is a pay site for girls ages 7-12, but it's worth the $5 for dd to have a safe place to chat. She calls it facebook for kids. They play learning games to earn money to spend on items for their house or to make things for their business which also earns them money. All conversation is monitored unless you personally know someone and have their member code.

www.cleverdragons.com - Always Ice Cream for boys. Since they just started they were offereing life time memberships for $39.99. Not sure if they still are or not.

I'm not sure why the links aren't all working. I thought I made them links and then went back and edited to try and fix them, but it still didn't work.
