Another Good Day

Jeepers

Recommended Posts

I ended up at Lehman’s again. Funny how my car just heads down there. I got another bucket of corn and wheat. That makes two of each and that is probably all I’ll buy. I have been searching everywhere for pint size freezer boxes, and found them down there. I should have bought more this summer at Wal-Mart. I didn’t think about them not stocking them year around.

Then made a quick trip to Sam’s Club. I didn’t buy much but I think I now have all the paper goods I will use for years to come.

I stopped at a bulk food store while in Amish country and got some dehydrated eggs and cheese powder. Also some dried soup mix. But the highlight of the day was when I stopped at a ‘natural health food’ store. I’ve never seen a store like it. They had all kinds of health food but what really got my attention was all of the vitamin, mineral and herb items they had! Amazing. They had everything I’ve ever heard of and a lot of things I haven’t. I got a little bottle of clove oil, tea tree oil, and activated charcoal. It was really too expensive but I plan to store them away for emergency use. I also got some Hawthorn caps to see if I can get some control over my crazy blood pressure.

I didn’t get my laundry done or any housework and I forgot to buy Christmas cards, but still had a productive day.

I'm happy someone had a productive day. I had the day off and all I got done was 1 load of laurndry. Oh and I made some homemade laundry soap.

I still have the fela naptha fragrance stuffed up my nose.

I took Son to school this morning and it was snowy and slick. Tonight I took DD2 to a party at a house that I've only been to once 4 years ago. It's in a aera that I don't know well.

We used the gps on Son's phone.

Good for you, Jeepers ! Tea tree oil is really good stuff. I keep it on hand. You can cure a sinus infection with it if you put a drop in water and use as a sinus rinse, kills fungus infections on nails, all sorts of things. The clove oil is a good idea. I should get some. I know it is good for a toothache. Not sure what else.

Never used the charcoal, but I hear it is good in case you get food poisoning. I should have some on hand.

Nichole, I have a feeling you will get there! If you do go and want to know where a couple of bulk food stores and the natural food (herbs) stores are let me know and I'll give you directions. Kidron and Berlin are the best places to prep shop. WARNING: Start saving your nickles and dimes because those places are expensive. :o

Violet, I got the clove oil for emergency toothache. I read put a few drops on a piece of cotton ball and lay it on the tooth. CGA gave some good advice in the RURR Forum about the charcoal. I'm keeping it for accidental poisoning. It's supposed to help bind the bad stuff in the stomach. I've heard a lot of good things about tea tree oil. I've also heard good things about grape seed oil (I think) but I want more info before I buy any. I didn't know those herb oils cost so much but hopefully I'll only have to buy them once.

Edited to say: I meant grapefruit seed extract. Not grape seed. <_<

Sometimes you just have to let things go so you can do other things. . . . . . like go shopping! :sHa_sarcasticlol:

And anyway they will still be there tomorrow..... and maybe the day after that ........ and the next day.................
