Just saw this and adding my prayers.
"Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed." Ps 57:1
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. " Eph 5:15,16
"Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard" 2 Kings 19:6

Have you hugged your goose today?

(((SueC)))) Well, you know your DH got thru round one of "C"! We'll all be praying for this too. I have a friend with Hashimoto's disease. [since she has 3 diseases, I get the symptoms confused between them tho.] Do they say why your DD would be outside the usual age range to get this disease? Anyway, she'll have our prayers too!!!!

life is getting back to normal. We do not know what triggered the Hashimoto's. but as recent studies said GF diet is better DD is going to trial going gluten free for 6 - 12 months.
we got home early this morning (about 1.30am?) from specialist appointment and tests. DH will have surgery at the end of this month to take out the growing nodule. The PET scan indicates that it probably is metastatic cancer, but the professor who reads the scan hasn't given his report yet. life just keeps going ...

I have been trying to book accommodation for me while DH is in hospital. Only to find out that is Mardi Gras time and places are booked out or have hiked up the prices. Finally found a room only at $169 a night. I would have preferred a kitchenette, but not prepared to pay $200 for it. the good news is it is just 5 minutes to the hospital.

Many thanks for your prayers and love. We spent most of the day sitting in the peri operative waiting room, to be told that the previous surgery had been complex so they cancelled David's. So unimpressed. We will head home and book everything again for the 21st Marsh. I really hope they don't cancel that one too as it is very expensive for accommodation travel and food. we will get something back eventually for the travel and part of the accommodation. But I wont have enough personal leave to cover the time off and it will use up my annual leave. so frustrating.
