This is Dave I think of the survival show with Cody the big barefoot guy.
this was one of the initial videos on slingshot bows.
It was so simple, the stuff so inexpensive and maybe you have stuff you can use already if you have a decent wristrocket type slingshot.
I sorta went around the rules and got one anyway although NYS does not sell wristrockets ... they don't care if you own them, they just got tired of kids being stupid with them, though, so they refuse to sell them.
this type of modification makes it possible to more easily carry what shoots an arrow, so I can hunt big game or small game , maybe simultaneously because outside, there is everything.
There is also a final modification he made after he did this one....
It requires the whisper biscuit archery item . His did not have the additional appertures used to mount them on a bow , perhaps you can use a punch to push the fastening rods to take off the extra stuff you don't need if you want to put one of these on instead of the key ring or other item for the arrow rest.
This second video he mentioned alot of items other than round bearings or ball to use to hunt small game with a slingshot btw. Marbles, rocks, sinkers, etc.
I also saw under the first videos comments by youtubers that one guy suggested flat rather than round pieces to attach the key ring for the arrow rest/guide, because of it working better ( he explained it , why)...
The maker of these videos is calling those things ranger bands but I cannot find anything on amazon or dickssporting goods that would be the same thing.
My thought is that one can just make some slices of bike intertube and use that probably.
I also pulled out my wristrocket and was looking it over and seeing how it would take such modifications as it is a different one than what he had.
His online site so far that I found is pathfinders, but I cannot find the site where he would be selling the items he is selling now as part of his business.
I like this because it is really easy to put one of these away fast or use it in tight brushy , tree country , as he explained and demonstrated in the first video.
ah, found the whisper biscuit replacement........ walmart carries them....

This is what replaces the original key ring guide/rest for the arrow
You will use two thin plastic locking ties to secure the biscuit through the two holes on the lower edge of it, to the uprights of the wristrocket as per the second video where he does modifications to improve a sling bow he is making to use for hunting. He also uses golf tees to replace the arrow knocks which are easier to grasp in the sling leather , making it less likely to mess up, also shows how to put blunts , for small game on the arrow head area.
( I also see where other things like jb welded paracord or glued paracord could easily be set up as an arrow rest as well if you are handy with making stuff.
You use a sling shot bow/ sling bow at 10 yds distance, and in these woods with my old and blurry eyes, I figure I am going to have to be pretty close. It just means you have to be quieter if you are hunting, to come across them or sit and wait, being very still and quiet, in a good spot you know the deer and such will be going through, like a tree stand situation becomes.
This is for survival hunting of course.
At 10 yards, he consistently put an old cedar wood , target arrow 10 to 12 inches into a solid round hay bale. I agree it should do the job at a 10 yd distance or so.
I guess you don't have to use total overkill to gain what you need if you need to hunt.
