I know that several people live in the area of the bad storms all the way from snow storms to tornadoes. I do hope everyone is okay with no damage. Leaving town but just wanted yall to know there are people praying for your safety.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding,
in all of your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will make your paths straight.

Adding my prayers to the others...It did look bad on tv. Stay hunkered down as new storms swirl in the area.

The storms have been going mostly north. Then we had some to the south but they weren't as bad. All this going around and we haven't had any rain in over a month. 25 miles away, there were thunderstorms, etc.

Everybody stay safe today too. Looks like more bad weather on the way for a large part of the country. We're supposed to have 30-60% chance of thunderstorms here starting at about the time ds's high adventure group is supposed to meet for a campout this weekend. Hopefully it won't be too much adventure.

am fine here despite some snow which actually is welcome for once! My heart and prayers go out to those affected by the tornados and winds this week.
There are active tornadoes being reported now but too many states in the alert area. Please stay alert folks in those zones.

I took LilDD and some friends out for a birthday movie and then dinner. Big DD and her DH were going to a church youth conference in Louisville, KY, with DGS at home with babysitters.
When we came out of the movie theater, I turned on my phone and got a text message from BigDD saying "Before you see the news, we stopped to eat and waited for the storms to pass. Stopped now on the highway because the tornado hit ahead of us. We're OK."
I sent her a return later and she said they were in Louisville. She says that if they hadn't stopped to eat lunch in Noblesville and wait for the storms to pass, they would have been right in Henryville, IN when the tornado hit. http://www.reuters.c...=topNews&rpc=76
I suspect, had her husband been driving instead of their pastor, they would have pressed on to GET THERE instead of waiting. THANK YOU, Lord!!!

Cat, I'm glad they are ok.
We went to Laporte last night for a Jazz ISSMA contest with DD2. They won a gold.
We had T-storms when we left and when we got there it was snowing but I don't think it got warm enough for much to happen in our aera.
It was very windy and wet. I was not happy to be in heavy traffic with that kind of weather.

I've talked to people who saw a tornado a few miles west of me and another half a county away to the east, but I haven't talked to anyone who has seen damage. I saw just lots of wind and lots of rain.
And we needed the rain.
And we needed the rain.

high winds here tonight. I cracked a window when I heard some kind of metal thing crashing along. Miss Macy is watching out the window, feeling the wind on her whiskers. I am watching Dances With Wolves. And listening for more wind noise... just in case.
If I here anything real bad will try and grab Miss Macy and go in my bathroom. Its the innermost room.
The electricity went off once already.
We do not have real bad tornadoes but even one that will do enough damage is too much. We will be alert tonight.

Things finally settled down here tonight. I have a lot of trees behind me and I was so afraid one would come crashing down.
My neighbor's metal trash can found its way over to my driveway about 3:00am. I couldn't figure out what the noise was for the longest time. At first I thought some of the siding on the house had come loose and was banging around. The stupid can got turned sideways so when it landed in my driveway it was situated longways and just kept rolling back and forth.

Blessed are the cracked ~ for they shall let in the light.
