The one advantage that I see to quilting versus knitting is that you can quilt with recycled scraps and clothing. In my mind, that makes it quite useful in a
situation. I hope that you are able to take a quilting class soon. (But don't stop practicing the knitting!)

Finished DS1's hat. Need to get different sized needles to start scarf.
TMC - I'm waiting for the quilting shop to post there July class schedule....... I'll probably run in Monday after going to the knitting shop for needles and yarn for DS2's hat and scarf. They are starting a sock class, I'm trying to work into my schedule.

Oh my goodness! You did a fantastic job knitting. They are beautiful! The knitting classes really paid off. I would have never done something like that if I was left on my own. I think being 'pulled along' in a class helps to keep the motivation going. You should be really proud of your work.
You can't always get what you want, babe
But if you try sometimes, you just might find
You get what you need.

I guess in taking my break, I have forgotten to post some of the recent completed projects. Hopefully, I can post a few now.
The first is a shawl for DH's grandma, who will be 92 this month.
The second is the sweater I made for DD (via a class, I would have never tried without the class) and I made a second one for my niece for a Christmas gift, same color.
The third is the jumper that I made for DD, the pattern was the worst pattern I've ever seen!
The forth is a shawl for my mom.
The goal for next year is several more handmade gifts but with the knowledge that I have to start during.

Wow, I wish I had a chance to take lessons. We live far out and I don't drive that far into town. You've really done well, Jori!!!
MtRider --I completed one project: The type of pot holder that fits over cast iron pan handles. Kinda 'winged' it but it works.
