Saw a tip today on the weather channel that sounded like a good idea - having bicycle helmets on hand in case of tornadoes. I've never heard that one - I'd heard the mattress covering, getting to the lowest floor, inside room, etc. What do you think?

I heard it on something recently. I thought it was interesting.

I've never heard of that but I like it. Any added protection to the head when things are flying around sounds like a good idea to me. I'd still use the basement, inside room and mattress along with the helmet.

You can't always get what you want, babe

But if you try sometimes, you just might find

You get what you need.

In addition to all other precaution, that sounds very wise.
