I ran into Joann fabric for buttonhole elastic to fix a pair of shorts I picked up for DD at a garage sale. I couldn't find it so I asked. They looked and then asked a manager to find out they don't carry it anymore. <_<

DS1 and I ran into the Walmart next to Sam's and Costco when we finished there to find 3 packs of 5/8 inch 1 yard on clearance for $1.00. I grabbed all 3 and looked at the other things they had on clearance in the isle. I'm going to run to ours and see if they have it (and on clearance) and buy them out.

GREAT!

More and more of this stuff is better found online.

And for fabrics and notions I like to see them *up close* before buying.

Where words and actions disagree, the heart is revealed.

Look how often the unexpected happens... and we still don't expect it.

Yes, sometimes there are a few good deals if you keep your eyes open when shopping.
We spent Saturday hitting the rummage sales ($1.00 a bag), yard sales and a 'Pickers Junk shop' but turned out to be closed for the day due to rain but we will go back as it looked like we might find some deal there? They said in ad that you pick thought all the boxes and then make deals? AND from what we saw 'peeking' into the tents they have set up there were a LOT of boxes!
