This especially touches my heart today.

Are things that come upon us in our daily lives a blessing or a curse? Many times what seems a disaster is changed for good in God's hands. This story and it's embedded legend from Max Lucado illustrates that very well...

May you find God's loving touch somewhere unexpectedly in your day today.

Where words and actions disagree, the heart is revealed.

Look how often the unexpected happens... and we still don't expect it.

Thank you.

I believe many of us are in a white horse moment right now. Only God knows.
"Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed." Ps 57:1

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. " Eph 5:15,16

“Whatever You may do, I will thank You.

I am ready for all; I accept all.

Let only Your will be done in me…

And I’ll ask for nothing else, my Lord.”

~Charles de Foucauld

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son… Romans 8:28-29

I KNOW these verses. I KNOW Jeremiah 29:11. I BELIEVE them forward, backward, side to side, totally and thoroughly. Yet....I can't HONESTLY pray the prayer above. Not at this point in my life. I can KNOW and TRUST that the God-and-Creator of the Universe means WELL for me and yet......

....I tell HIM that I do not like the process. :motz_6: Honestly...sometimes I REALLLLLLLLLY SERIOUSLY do not like the immediate plans HE has for me. And even in that moment, I feel like a wimp cuz.....even my HARD days are blessed....not THAT hard. Not like a lot of people have 'H A R D'.

I fervently wish I could feel like praying this every single moment of every single hard and easy day of my life.

From Corrie Ten Boom? In the WWII prison barracks....the fleas were horrid but the abusive guards refused to go in that barracks. Allowed them to have Bible studies and some degree of peace.

Ahh, Cat...thank you for posting this...it was an immediate blessing, but I know that as I meditate on this, and on the prayer and verses it contains, I will be even more blessed by it. There is layer upon layer of meaning in this story. :lois:

Just thinking of this story today, and decided maybe someone else could be blessed with it, too. So I bumped it up.

One of my daughter's friends is going through some very rough times. I tried to give her some encouragement yesterday, and I hope it spoke to her needs.

God nudged me to it, so I want to believe it came from HIM, and so will prove to be helpful to her.

We have had our share of white horses lately. We have a new one in the corral now with this move.

God...Mommato3 needs all of Your care and provision and strength and wisdom today. Cuz she and family are hauling down stream to the south with bag and baggage. Help this to be a smooth day with no major upsets [and no breakage]. Let them all smile at each other when it's done and say it was done well. Give peace to her heart cuz all moves are disorienting and ...we do get anxious.
