Praying for Henry to have a full and speedy recovery & a reduction of worry for the rest of your family, Stephanie. I know that this ordeal must have been frightening for all of you!

I heard Henry went back to work , tylenol and advil in his pocket, got to be able to feed that large precious family, you know.... ;)
I hope it's going well, attempting that so soon.

WHAT!?!?! Adding an extra prayer that he is able to withstand working so soon!

Hi all, yes, much to everyone's amazement, my Henry went back to work on Monday. As I've mentioned before, you just can't keep a good man down.

We went for the follow up visit yesterday and the dr was pleased with what he saw. I took his word for it because to my eyes it still looks pretty gruesome. Now, I'll be changing bandages each night and we report back next Tuesday.

They were shocked that he was taking none of the prescription pain pills because he wanted to prevent being sleepy at work. So, they prescribed some non-narcotic meds to help during the day.

Here's how the dr sent us out the door. He said, "I've done my part now God will finish the healing." Smart man, good surgeon. We are blessed.

Just found this post. Life is chaotic enough lately I haven't had a chance to get on here. Anyway, I am adding my prayers for a speedy recovery

Since the bandage changing began, the pain level has increased. So, I'm bringing out the stronger meds that he won't take while working, this weekend.

I'm being very cautious and following all instructions but, naturally a bit nervous as I am the bandage changer in between dr visits.

Pain usually increases as a wound tightens and heals. It is a positive sign as long as you're not seeing signs of infection.

They have taken out the stitches and much to my relief his finger did not fall off. :-)

By the looks of it I figured those stitches were holding him together! Lol!

His injury is healing wonderfully! Amazing! He is now doing exercises with the most damaged finger, painful but, promising!

Thanks to all who prayed! Much love!
