Hey, y'all....just saw something on Infowars (my apologies to those of you who don't like Alex Jones!) regarding a mysterious radiation spike accompanied by lots of strange military activity somewhere on the border of IN and MI:

http://www.prisonpla...azmat-team.html

I'm trying to dig for more information on this...but it's hard to find anything. Nobody's sure where it's coming from. Has anyone seen or been able to find more information regarding this situation?

I find it incredibly odd.

I check this site ever since the Japan Fukishima nuclear nightmare and earthquake.... it monitors by private citizens and uni's etc, updates about every 5 mins.
If I could afford the set up I would do it myself here.

54 in MN and down to 47 in IN on those reads.

Normal before Japans affects got to US in low elevation areas and not any nuke plant leaks going on is about 17- 28...

Recently I have seen several even on east coast region almost past 78 in some places....

I think its worth having a jar of pottasium iodide handy. Majority of folks can take it and if its long high exposure at home ground , you need to take it at least 3 weeks. Per adult and teens and children and babies , its not that expensive if you buy it by the jar at a vitamin site like Vitacost.com ..... the 14 pkt ones just really are not enough long term.

There are good threads on the dosages for children, babies and pets and adults of course and all the details if you do a search or ask Cat to find it and bump it up for you.

Some here have all the data

IF any of those yellow dots turns to 100, then thats definitely dangerous. If it stays that way, or worse.

Not sure...

This from the news, with comments following...

Website mistakenly reported high radiation levels in South Bend
South Bend, Ind.

Some South Bend residents were alarmed earlier this week after a website mistakenly reported readings that indicated radiation levels were at a catastrophic level in the city.

NewsCenter 16 received several calls from concerned viewers, but the owner of the company that owns the site says the readings were a false alarm.

Officials at the Environmental Protection Agency and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission have also confirmed that their radiation readings were normal.

The false readings appeared to be caused by an equipment malfunction.

I'm still not convinced that this was merely a 'false alarm'. There are many looming questions that have not been addressed. The monitoring station in South Bend (privately owned and ran by Radiation Network) was the one to initially show the huge spike in radiation levels. They then came out and claimed that the levels were false and caused by an 'unknown malfunction'. If this is the case, why is it that the EPA's open-air RADNET (located in Ft. Wayne) reported a similar spike in radiation levels at exactly the same time? (These 2 agencies are run independently of each other, btw) Pretty big coincidence that these 2 separate monitoring stations both both suffered the same 'malfunction' at the same time, no? I'm not raising the conspiracy flag or anything just yet, but I do believe there is something very amiss here.

Of course. Something doesn't add up here. I'm stocking up on a Radiation Detector for safety.

I TOTALLY AGREE. Kinda funny how TWO different systems completely independent of each other both had the same readings!! The Gov site is Off Line now. (go figure)

I've been reading some very disturbing things about Fukushima's radiation drift..... <_< So disturbing that I'm wanting to do more research [...I am SO NOT a nuclear scientist :grinning-smiley-044: ] before mentioning it here.

There was supposed to have been high readings in Boulder, CO. What about other parts of CO???

If anyone has reliable data....we might want to start a thread... Is this an Edgy topic or a RURR topic, Cat?

also....google 'pectin' for radiation poisoning in Chernobyl [sp?]

Thanks for the input, everyone.

I am still not sure why there would be such a massive influx of helicopters, hazmat teams and strange explosions if it were only a mistake....that is what concerned me....

Unfortunately, these days I'm not sure I trust what the MSM tells me. :( Sad state of our nation.

just got this from another friend on fb.
better look before its blacked out.

http://naturalsociet...radiation-zone/

also, this:

http://www.infowars....ation-incident/

"The thunder-mimicking sound led some locals to believe that explosions took place in their own basements; planes breaking the sound barrier, earthquakes, and extremely powerful fireworks were ruled out – so what could it have been? Could the shakes and loud sounds have been a result of a terrible fracking incident? In the past fracking has caused concerning explosions both in Pennsylvania and Nixon.

As for the radiation spike reaching levels as much 7,139 CPM without warning, which is over the average of between 5 and 6, what could be the true cause? One network responsible for the increased level measurement went on record (after removing the live measurements abruptly) stating that it was a unknown fluke in the system of which the operators are unsure of the origin. Of course this would not make much sense as a number of different privately owned radiation measurement facilities had confirmed the readings — even some private enthusiasts. But let’s say that it was a fluke — why the sudden interest of military, government, and the abrupt eruption of unheard of ‘shaking booms’ rocking the incident zone?

It seems that extremely large amounts of radon is one possible answer, with high radon levels existing in St. Joseph County — the area in question."

3 Chinooks and 1 Blackhawk helicopters landed at the small airport I live by Thursday night to refuel so they were in the aera before the radiation spike was reported.
What is intersting is that South Bend and Elkhart airports are bigger than the one I live near. Wouldn't the they be a better choice to refuel at?
BUT the Goodyear blimp uses my airport for just that reason. It has less air traffic to worry about.

I looked at arby's links. The first one includes "explosions" that sound like fireworks.

I HEARD THOSE, TOO! :o

On Memorial Day weekend, it sounded like the neighbor was shooting off fireworks. It went on for quite a while, and it was from the direction of the guy who has enough money to probably do that... about a mile away, diagonally east.

But last week I heard the same kinds of noises, but from a different direction. They were infrequent, but just like the ones in this video.

So has anyone seen any relatively 'mainstream' commentary on this yet? Though by this time I'm guessing there won't be anything unless there is another spike...

Everybody's like "Nothing to see here... it was a mistake, nothing more... move along now..."

We heard something that sounded like several jets flying over/nearby this afternoon.

Whaddaya mean, of COURSE I believe the government agencies!

DH sent me this article:

http://www.naturalne..._radiation.html

I was unaware that the Radiation Network's station and the EPA station were not only separately controlled (one not feeding information into the other...they're both independent of each other, apparently), but also 100 miles apart....and BOTH showed radiation spikes at the same time. They expect us to believe THAT is a coincidence???

The article also goes into the mysterious deployment of a FEMA hazmat fleet and the helicopters and A-10s that were seen flying in the region, as well as the explosive booms that people were hearing in the region both before and after the radiation spikes.

No, I do not believe this is a "coincidence," or that there is "nothing to see here." :beat_deadhorse: I wonder if anyone who lives in that area might have their own radiation detector? It would be very interesting if we could get some readings from folks who live near this site.

Cat, I'm glad you're okay...and I second the suggestion to consider a regimen of potassium iodide, if you have any. :(
