I am not eloquent in matters of the heart, so I will just add a hearty Amen to that which has been said before. :(

A government big enough to give you everything you want,
is strong enough to take everything you have.

Thomas Jefferson

As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, they must be in this.

By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins by national calamities.

George Mason, Father of the "Bill of Rights"

I was trying to find a song that was as close as I think might fit...

Josh Groban singing To Where You Are....

~Nichole~

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. - Thomas Jefferson

Economic control is not merely control of a sector of human life which can be separated from the rest; it is the control of the means for all our ends. And whoever has control of the means must also determine which ends are to be served, which values are to be rated higher and which lower, in short, what men should believe and strive for. - Friedrich von Hayek

What a tragedy, lost for words.
My heart goes out to Windmorn and her family.
She looked at the wolf with a sweet smile . The wolf asked what was in her basket. `Food for Grandmother`she said..
She then opened her basket and took out a sawn off shotgun.
A few days later she walked through the woods in her new wolfskin furcoat...

Lesson learned, so not mess with girls who are brave enough to go into the woods on their own.

I feel the same way... I want to do something, but don't know what would be helpful. Does anyone have any ideas?

Windmom, I can only imagine the mingled shock and sorrow you are feeling. My prayers are with you and your dd for strength, understanding and acceptance of this sudden tragedy in your lives. Gods ways are not ours, so we will be mystified over His reasoning until we can ask Him personally. May He grant you what you need, so you can do what he asks of you. My thoughts are with you.
