You can't always get what you want, babe

But if you try sometimes, you just might find

You get what you need.

Update: The daughter confronted him a couple of days ago and seems to have gotten through to him. I'm on hold as of now so I didn't make the road trip today. Thank you all for your continued prayers for him. :grouphug:

Praying for him and the other family that also lost a son. It is always hard to lose a loved one, but much harder when it is someone taken way before there time. I will keep both families in my prayers.

Just saw this as I haven't been on much.

 for all involved.

It is really so much harder when it is a young person.

Me too. I pray for healing, wisdom and grace. Such a tough situation.

Thank you everyone for your prayers! He has been sober for 2 weeks (as of the update I got a couple of days ago) AND gone back to work. God is Good!

DD's keeping me busy, which is good for both of us. She has an activity almost everyday to go to so that she has time with people other than me. Most days are good since we started going to church last month. During the first song the first day I felt like God told me we needed to be there and like He healed my heart to start moving on. I just feel like the devil is testing that and I'm trying to have faith the plan I felt like God showed me will work out. I knew there would be some bumps in the road, but it feels like I hit a roadblock. I just have to trust it will clear or that I was wrong about the path I thought He showed me and He'll provide a detour to get me where I need to be.

You have such a wonderful attitude. I think of you and your dear daughter so often. :hug3:
Actually, I think about your dear son and dear husband too.

You get what you need.
