Thought it would be fun for us to have a place to share some of our favorite music. If it takes up too much space and needs to be removed, I understand. Graphics etc. take up alot more space that text.

To ease up on the bandwith usage of MrsS, click on the "YouTube" logo on the bottom right of the video and watch it there instead of here. That way you will also be able to continue browsing and reading here also. :pc_coffee:

I imagine this is how it was first performed--an all male choir with the soprano parts being sung by prepubesent boys. It is a wonderful presentation. Enjoy!

CBS6's 28th annual holiday extravaganza: The Melodies of Christmas! featuring the Empire State Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorale in the historic Proctor's Theatre.

CBS 6 broadcasted the program on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This was recorded December 24, 2004 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Net proceeds benefit the Child Cancer Program at Albany Medical Center.

Sponsored by Price Chopper and Freihofer's Baking Company.

CBS Channel 6

The performances are awesome, and I especially love how much the conductor enjoys her job! Just watch her bobbing, and bouncing and smiling as she conducts the concert. (I want to add a smilie here, but they are "greyed out." :( I happen to know the key-code for this one. ;) and this one. :D this one too. )
