  1. Just take a 2 liter bottle and cut off the top of it, about a 1/4 of the way down. Turn the cut off part upside down and place back on the bottle. You can put pop (or lemonade) in the bottom and it attracts the bees. They can't get out and eventually die.

  4. 04-25 If you shop once a week or less often, buy both fresh and processed -- that is, canned or frozen -- fruits and vegetables, and juices. Use the fresh first; save the processed items for use later. Buy both ripe and not-so-ripe fresh fruits and vegetables -- for example, yellow and green bananas -- so that the not-so-ripe items will last a few days longer and be ready for eating after you've finished the ripe ones. Keep fruits and vegetables where you can see them often -- on the top shelf of the refrigerator, or, for fruits that don't need refrigeration (such as bananas and apples), on the table or counter or another easy-to-spot-place. The more often you see the fruits and vegetables, the more likely you may be to eat them.

  10. K-MART AND WALMART- THUMBS UP FOR RETURNS WITHOUT SALES SLIPS. A while ago Cappy purchased a cd for me at Walmart but accidentally left it in the basket out in a dark parking lot so I called Walmart right away and the manager had his lot people look for the cd but they couldn't find it. In the meantime he told Cappy to come back up and he would give him a replacement copy for free. When Cap got back up to Walmart the cd was not in the parking lot but Cap left it at the register still in the bag. He had so many purchases he overlooked the small package. Walmart was wonderful. Now for K-Mart: I had purchased a bed in a bag set and had it for 9 months when I decided I didn't want the design and color for my bedroom so after months of leaving the sales slip on the bag I went to take this product back and do you think I could find the salesslip. I called the manager and he told me to bring it back to return it and I could exchange it for another that I liked or get my money with the sales tax back.. I opted for a different set which was at lower cost and ended up getting money back and they were very accomodating. THUMBS UP FOR SERVICE!

I have one which I purchased from my cousin who owns the local franchise and I have to tell you for the amount of money I paid for this machine I would rather have an old fashioned cleaner that runs on people power and picks up more dirt and dust from the carpets. Campfire Cake In A Orange Shell This is good 1Box Jiffy yellow cake mix -- (8 oz.) 6 Large Thick skin oranges water tinfoil (heavy) Slice 2 inches in diameter from oranges and save. Remove orange from shell being careful not to damage shell. Prepare cake mix per instructions. Fill each orange shell half full of cake mix. Replace top and wrap in foil. Bake in hot coals or on grill about 20 minutes, turning often. I use this as a breakfast treat when camping. We eat the oranges out of the shell with a spoon, then when the cakes are done you may eat them with a spoon or peel your orange and have a hot orange cake.

  16. Save them to dry herbs on. Put herbs on top of one screen and then add another screen on top of the herbs to keep them from blowing away while they are drying on a table in the sun. Another way to dry those herbs is to place herbs in paper sacks half full and tie the top with a twistie or fold the bag over twice and store in a dry place away from sunlight. In about a week the herbs will be dry so you can remove them from the bags and store them in air tight glass jars in the pantry.

This is a familiar site all around the Nation and I do believe we are in some kind of depression. Not as bad as the crash but perhaps getting there. My prayers go out to you and your family Becca. Just hang in there...
