Flu Pandemic article from a nursing publication

This surprized me, I have to say... the section called "Can We Prepare?" Mainline, non-alarmist, exceptionally PC publication calmly discussing power outages and lack of water in the wake of a pandemic.

 

Most of the article is not 'nursey' and should be pretty easy to understand.

There was also a short article, later in the paper, that gave the following stats:

 

75% said that if asked, they would curtail activities like using public transportation, going shopping, or attending church.

 

94% said they would stay at home & away from other people for 7-10 days if they came down with the flue during a pandemic.

 

35% of employed adults would go to work if their employers told them to, even though public health officials said they should stay home.
