Dee Posted April 10, 2003 Share Posted April 10, 2003 Pull up a chair its chicken tonight, barbequed on the grill With sweet corn ears cooked just right On that old grill we'll skewer some veggies so hasty and grab a cast iron pot and make blueberry dream, a treat thats so tasty cobbler so sweet it will be a neat treat. Just a dollop of whipped cream will be the topper this dessert is delish and it will make your taste buds go poppers, I'll let Old Cappy off the hook The dishes he doesn't have to wash, will be from the summer nook. Plates of paper and Plastic utensils make sure you recycle those summertime dishes This meal cost a mere 89 cents makes my pocketbook smile While my piggie bank piles The leftover loot I saved from the boot With the pennies we will go on vacation with the saved dough. Rhubarb to follow with mascarpone chesse it's a nice easy seasonal pud; when asked if they want more there's a rush for the door cos that seasonal rhubarb tastes good! Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2003 Share Posted April 10, 2003 Tonight is the night, you’ve hit the spot We’re having a roast, it’s in the crockpot There’s potatoes and carrots cooking there too We’d like to invite but it’s just for we two There’s also corn I canned last fall Along with a salad with croutons and all For dessert we’re having strawberry shortcake After all this work he best not be late If he is, next time he’ll eat Spam Instead of the butter and jelly and jam To spread on this lovely homemade bread I baked with my little hands on our homestead.
