hillfarm
Argh! I have been helping dd wander around in the cyber equivalent of a new school all day. This was her first day of attending online public school instead of traditional homeschooling. The lessons haven't been that hard, but all the thrashing about, not knowing where to find anything, is driving me crazy. I'm sure we will get it figured out eventually and get the system finetuned but for now, our first day will end up being about 10 hours long! So no writing work, no house cleaning work, no pantry organization work getting done today. Quote Link to comment
gofish
Bummer. How it gets easier soon. Quote Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
wow! so she can't even call in sick? 1 question ................ how long do they have to hold up their hand to answer a question until the computer see them? AND know they want to answer a question and not go to the restroom. LOL Quote Link to comment
hillfarm
Believe it or not, they do have a little hand waving in the air icon to answer questions during the live sessions and also a drop-down menu option called "Stepping away", to be used for brief but unavoidable absences! lumabean
I hope everything gets easier here soon. They should have offered her some sort of orientation or something to help her get familiar with how everything will work. Quote Link to comment
